New building and Russian Church in Athens

This building is a new addition on the elegant Amalias Avenue in central Athens facing the National Gardens. Its warm colours are a pleasant juxtaposition to the earth coloured Medieval Byzantine Church in the back that was named as the Russian Church of Athens in the 19th c. when Olga, sister of the Tzar, was the new Queen of Greece. Photo taken in August 2007.
